Fault Code Interpretation
« on: 01 September 2010, 05:47:11 »

Gentlemen,

I just had my MV6 scanned during our last Club meeting.  And these were the findings :

00137 - Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Box Temperature High
Not present

00129 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Feedback Voltage Low
Not present

Can anyone please explain these to me like I'm a 6 year old?? TIA

The ECU has complained of the temp being high in its little compartment, some setups ahvea  cooling fan in the inner wing to keep it cool but, in this country, its nothing much to worry about.

00129 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Feedback Voltage Low
Not present

The EGR has stuck at some point or its not been re-connected following some work, the ignition turned on, error spotted and connected correctly. The ECU can detect the position of the EGR valve via a feedback signal....the ECU has detected that the valve was not in the position it should be.

As all are not present, there is little to worry about but, it might be worth removing and cleaning the EGR valve pintel with oven cleaner
