Thanks for that NF. Just had a look at old topics and it points towards the MAF being at fault.

Yup MAF sensor or your drawing in air somewhere.

On a serious note sounds like you need to squit a bit of carb cleaner around that egine bay to check for leaks befire you start splashing out on a new MAF sensor

Its a deal . I dont think its an air leak. I put hand over air intake but not enough to stall it. There was no sign of a leak. Ive got a piper cross air filter on it and im thinking could this be the problem?

Could be oil from the filter contaminating the MAF

Ive read this before pete about the oil getting on maf so i was very carefull not to put too much on.
