Tried the bearing puller trick this evening.....it was having none of it.

Explane?  :-/

It just bent the metal, was not shifting

And not easy to get your average puller fingers under the metal flange

Maybe needs to be a cheap nasty puller from halfords?

Some proper pullers at work also look like the fingers/claws would be too big for this job.

I ground the fingers down to fit.

guessing a proper man size 6 inch gumbee job?

as opposed to my cheap crap gay 4 inch one out of cracker?
