Omega X30XE chip
« on: 30 October 2010, 22:21:51 »

What are peoples thoughts on:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OPEL-VAUXHALL-Omega-B-MV6-3-0-V6-X30XE-chip-232HP-305NM-/170558303248?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b6112c10#ht_839wt_1139

Is there anyone in the west midlands that can fit these if it turns out to be a good buy?

Or can anyone recommend any others?
Someone say MTek chips, however I can not find anyone that actually sells them.

Many Thanks,

Raj

Waste of money, I'd sooner spend that 90 quid on general maintenance

I agree with the last!!! A friend dyno'd his omega on a modd'd ECU and found that standard sorftware was making more power and torque. messing with your ECU is not advisable unless you really no what your doing. Factory maps and specific tables have been installed for economy so if you want more power, get it done properly and dont risk your engine..... :y :y

Well remembered Scott!

Map was unbelievably lean.

Get a remap tailored to your car if it's what you really want.
Expect to pay around 300 notes, and go to someone reputable and/or recommended (Read: not Courtney/Regal ;D)

From the moment I picked up your book until I laid it down, I was convulsed with laughter. Some day I intend reading it.
