ABS ECU different Manual to Auto
« on: 30 November 2010, 18:43:48 »

Mine is a Elite 98 model Auto and I am wondering if CDX 99 model manual would be a straight swap?

Is there an issue that needs tech2'ing because of the auto/man aspect?

Thanks :y

TECH2 is needed to program the ECU to let it manual or auto.My car was converted to manual and it was needed to programming. There will be no error messages but must to reprogram.

Had exactly the same issie. You need one with same numbers, engine and gearbox. I know it sounds silly, why the gearbox should affect ABS, but for whatever reason, it does.

Did this recently, and saved a friend a small fortune in tech 2 fees, as we found the 'right' one.

Although its the same hardware, there is a software difference that needs a tech2 to sort out...
