Quite easy to do. Both gasket sets are £74 posted from andyc on here but you could just change the 135 cover at around half that price. Personally though I'd change both. Shout up if you need a hand, I need an excuse to go up to Lincoln and drop some parts and Xmas gifts off :y

How about this one ? V6 Changing the Cam Cover Gaskets

Thanks Andy......very helpful.....but I think my 2.6 lump may be different to that... :y
The key difference is the coil-on-plug coil packs. You already know how to get them off :y

The other differences are the exhaust gas recirculation valve and throttle cable. 2.6 DBW is easier to work on without them in my opinion.

Main VX dealer has quoted me £37.78 inc vat....for a genuine gasket kit for one cylinder bank....I'm tempted to have a go at 1,3,5 cylinder bank myself......Labour charges are £78...per hour....

I can get a pattern part for both banks of cylinders for about £17 from Ebay.....but are they any good?.. :-/ :-/

Q TB  and his condom/poo catch phrase.

They are crap. Fit them if you like but you will bedoing thbe whnole job again in 3 months time for another £17 with further risk of a fubar coil pac at 80 to 120 a side. See how much money you save then!

USE GENUINE ONLY and you will save money for another 80k odd miles.
