temp guage

hi  my temp guage does not move at all any more but all rad pipes are warm and heater works ok.can anyone tell me where the sensor is on the 2.5 td

It's on the passenger side of the block under the intake manifold.

There is also a temp. gauge sensor in the same area, nearer the back of the block. No picture.   :)

Is the one in the picture for the fans KP?

The fans' switch will be on the radiator itself, the one pictured is more likely to be the one that talks to the ECU  :-/

Andy is right, that is the ECU temp sensor, the gauge sensor is the one a little further back with just a single spade connector on it. Pop the spade connector off and put it to -ve and see if the gauge goes to maximum :y
