running rough when revved
« on: 15 December 2010, 23:35:31 »

Hi all. This is my first ever post, and my first ever problem with my omega. Sometimes when i start it, it will start fine and idle ok but when revved hard she runs very rough and doesnt even have the power to get off the driveway. This happens either hot or cold. It is starting to happen quite often now :(  Theres no warning lights or anything comeing on on the dash.  Its a 2.0L by the way.  Please help!!!   Cheers....

Hi there and welcome to the forum :)

You say there are no lights showing but do the warning lights work ie do they light up when staring the car.

Paper clipping or the pedal trick will help in getting the codes so problems can be easier diagnosed :y

I would recomend timing belt and spark leads, is there a tapping sound when running, also take out the spark plugs and see what colour they are if black replace.
