Heater Blower
« on: 09 January 2011, 23:34:12 »

On startup my heater blower works just fine; plenty of air wafting out of whichever vents I point the controls. But after about 30 minutes of driving, I find I have a pathetic flow of air even if I focus it all on face vents, temp up to high and fan up high. I can hear the fan spinning at different speeds as I change the speed on the controller but it seems not to effect the airflow. Like I said, on engine startup airflow is fine.

Any ideas?

have you checked the fillter in the engine bay right side lift the rubber and pull up the plastic lip and see if the filter is ok may of fell in, if not been changed in a wile or cloged up. if that ok then only other thing is the flap at the bottom of the heater intake maybe blocked. also the air circulator is not on is it??

As a starting point do a flaps and recirc reset. Hold OFF and AUTO for 5 seconds and you'll hear all the solonoids moving to reset. Then with the heating on press the recirc button until you hear it stop moving then press it again to turn it off. Then see what you have :y
