Headgasket or Oil cooler?
« on: 20 January 2011, 20:47:01 »

Got a preface MV6 3.0.

The other night it spluttered to a halt, checked the engine and found mayo in the filler and dipstick, there is however some coolant left.

Heard the oil coolers are terrible on these, and I cant seem to find the newer style ones on ebay

Mayo on filler neck - short journeys, nothing to worry about.
Mayo in coolant reservoir - oil cooler.
Mayo in sump (and loss of coolant) - head gasket, probably.
