Had a bit of a scary moment on way home today in the Mega Mig.

Going slowly, about 20mph around a small roundabout (not those white concrete ones)... all of a sudden the back end kicked out like I was driving on ice  .

Naturally I'm concerned as don't want this happening too offen, unless I looking to play ( ).  Does anyone have a clue where I need to start looking within the rear suspension, as to why the car acting like it's got rear steering issues of its own  :-? .  And what could possibly be the cause?.

did you check for spilled diesel on the roundabout? sounds like it to me given the low speed etc

Notice you drive ex plod, is the TC working?, LSD kicked in on a diesel spill / black ice?

Didn't notice any diesel on the road at the time, but then there could of been?.  See what happens tomorow as I'll be traveling that way again (only I'll be taken extra care this time to make sure)

Will double check it is actually working to be sure tomorow by trying a small check to see if it?.

Still would like some advice on what I could check to make sure / eliminate any mechanical issues as well please ~ Cheers

After that, springs and all rear suspension components but IMO it was probably diesel or another slippery substance. Has it rained for the first time in a while?

I believe that there are a couple of doughnut bushes on the rear suspension arms, if these are badly worn, would this cause this kind of problem.

Been raining this way a couple of days, but didn't notice the mig slide around yesterday.  Mind you was following a learner driver whom was a little nervous going around the island slower than I was today, so may account for me not noticing then?.

TBH, I would have thought you would have noticed other issues before now if they were that bad :-/

Actually over the week I've noticed that the car does seem to feel a little more skitish these days, compared to when I got it, but untill today it's never kicked out like that.

Doesn't feel as sure footed as my 2.2 which has lowered and uprated suspension, which holds the road much better.
