Only for the standard tyre sizes on the Omega, and only for calibration of the instruments. I suspect 2woody might also be considering the finer aspects of suspension setup and handling. ;)

as seen above both setups 225/55-16 or  245/45-17 can be used instead (difference of 0.5 km/100 km) without any problem..many odometers anyway have more reading errors than that..
