Rob i should just email you directly lol  ;D

Do you know what each individual plug does that the seat connector has?

Might explain why the seats i had off of Robert were constantly HOT! ha ha!  Earlier ones didn't have the variable temp controller did they?  Just an on/off?

Wot, both seats? The heated driver seat didn't work at all in the donor vehicle IIRC and the pass seat did work - but not that hot ...  :question

Hi Rob, well to be honest it was just the passenger seat plugged in as the woman was complaining that it was 'too' hot! Never happy!! ha ha

They were only in the car for a day before i sold them on as i've tracked some (all be it) cloth Recaros  8-)  I'll keep these until some black leather ones come up.  :y

Right, the plug under the seat is for the seat belt pre-tensioner. :y

Although the spots on the wire would suggest otherwise.  :-/

Might be worth chasing in to the loom a bit to confirm that it is still connected as expected.

HTH,

Al. :y

I think you maybe right, would explain why the air bag light was lit on on the dashboard, also the seats i think were from a mini facelift as i now recall Rob saying about the mechanical pretensioners - my memory is so bad! :-/

Wow, that was quick - 4 owners in as many weeks. How did you sell them? Did you keep the rears?

I think that plug under the seat in the bottom pic is definately the Airbag connector!
The seatbelt pretensioners are integrated somehow i think, so Taxi Al could be right about that.

I have litterally just come in from snapping mine!!  :-/
Mine are yellow though, with the same purple bit on.  I'm looking for help, but won't hijack this thread; I'm about to start a new one.  Little bummed tbh, cos I can't go anywhere with it unplugged, otherwise the airbag light will go on permanently like it has in yours!!

That was my first thought but the colour coding is wrong.

That plug WAS definitely for the drivers seat pretensioner. :y

BUT the silver bands would suggest that the wire had been hijacked for an alternative purpose? :-/

Do you still have the original seat, to see where the corresponding wires went to? :-/

If they go to the pretensioner, then all is well. :y
