wishbones polybushes help
« on: 25 February 2011, 15:24:33 »

Guy at MOT warned me about the front bush on the wishbone being on its way out.
I read the guide on replacing the wishbones or putting bushes by using a press.
Also polybushes are mentioned there and was thinking on choosing this as a best solution (upper bushes are ok on the wishbone, seems I only need the front ones).
Now I need some guidance since the guide doesn't cover the polybushes installation but only few tips.
Questions are as follows:

Can the polybushes be fitted without removing the wishbones itself as it is mentioned in the guide?

Old bushes can be removed by a hacksaw or something else (definitely would want to know the procedure for doing this)?

Do the polybushes need a press to be mounted in the wishbone?

The best way to mount them inside a wishbone without a press (if possible) would be...?

Do the wishbones with polybushes need to be torqued while the car is on the ground like mentioned in the guide?

Thanks in advance for any help given  :y
