you doing it with ignition on? It won't work, late 2002 it was updated to work with 3/4 second push. Earlier versions only worked with the key removed.

Checkout hilpers boot mod in the maint section, its a guide on how to make it unlock with ignition/engine on

With the engine running (and maybe the vehicle in park with handbrake on?), you need to hold down the button on the dash untill the boot opens. I cant remember if it is for 3 seconds or five?

How long are you holding the button down for?

As above, it depends on year as it was changed in 2002. Models from 99-02 had a kind of interlock which required that the key was removed from the ignition before either the dash button used or the keyfob used???

Why oh why was there never a V8 Omega????
Such a missed oppurtunity.
Look forward to the Cadillac ATS & ATS-V. Maybe a re-badged one will replace the Miggy as a RWD runner?

Is there a suggestion here that a mod can be made to allow the earlier version to open the boot with the engine running.  I would be quite happy if the handbrake needs to be on etc.  I have been unable to locate the article from the information given.  Can anyone please supply a link or what to search for - thanks
