Hello I'm looking for a new engine for my omega 2ltr diesel what code am I looking for so I know I'm getting the right engine for my car and where do I look for this code. Thanks

I think what the above post means is can you confirm your engine, as far as I know there is no Omega 2.0 Diesel engine (only 2.2 and 2.5)

There is a 2.0 Petrol though....

I thought that but on log book it says 2 ltre I just want to make sure I get the right engine to start when i get one to put in it. I just want to know exactly what the difference is i'e diesel pump. Thanks

Or what to look for when looking for an engine, so when I put an engine in it will just fire up.

Ahhhhhaaaaa.

got the reg, but cannot look it up as it is an OPEL not a Vauxhall,

guess this is an import?  actually what country are you in?

Looking at the OPEL section of EPC there is indeed a 2.0 Diesel.

X20DTH.

Not common round here though sorry, so you may struggle for advice.

Hello Could I put an Y20DTH engine in my car and will the ECU fit in my ecu plug fittings.

Is your car a pre-facelift? There are a few (very few!) with the 2.0 Diesel, the 2.2 is fitted to the facelifts.
