Wobble\vibration on steering?
« on: 22 March 2011, 20:16:23 »

Hi all i had a vibration on the driver side which i thought was a result of a knackered wheel bearing as there was a fair bit of play in it! Its now changed and tightened up correctly but the vibration is still there just wondering if anyone can give me any suggestions what it is/where i need to look :y

wheel may just need balanced, could be tyre fault i remember changing a cv joint on a caviler and it ended up being a bulge on the inside wall of the tyre.

thanks for the reply :) i was thinking this but the vibration starts to get noticeable at about 45mph would it be constantly there if it was a warped disc?

Wobble, side to side, ime is Play in the steering, wishbone bushes worn baring, steering idler type stuff. Can be random.

Vibration, up and down, wheel or tyre out of round or balance, disc could be off centre or damaged but usually shows when braking.

Ime....
