Omega Head gasket.
« on: 14 May 2011, 08:49:08 »

I have just bought a 2.6 03 Omega and found that it has an oil leak at No.5 cylinder on the head gasket. I live in Nottingham and I was wondering if anyone can point me to a mechanic who would do the job for a reasonable price? Any info would be appreciated as I am not very mechanically minded, thanks.

Are you 100% sure it's the head gasket? What are the symptoms and what tests have you done?

Do you have oil in the plug wells? What makes you say it is the headgasket? Headgaskets rarely go on the V6 unless they haven't been looked after and had the correct coolant mixture.
