re programming of the multi information display
« on: 12 May 2011, 21:47:30 »

Hi can anyone help here?

I have recently put a new battery on my car as it has been unused and something keeps draining it. The multifunction info display now just says programme and the reset button on the washer lever doesnt seem to do anything. Its not a major problem given that all the electrics work fine, the car has just sailed through its MOT and I love driving it anyway but it would be nice to have all the information working as it should. I have been through the manual but cant seem to find any literature that advises of a solution. I would be really grateful if someone had the answer. Many thanks

:o - its lost its configuration from its flash memory. Never, ever seen that, only seen that with a brand new one.

Tech2 job, assuming the MID isn't faulty.

Where are you, as if you go to a dealer, might be cheaper to buy a 2nd hand MID from here (later type are reliable, 2nd hand is fine - BUT it must be from same engine/gearbox/headlight/tyre configuration)

Now far are you from Nottingham? Marks DTM Calib has a Tech2, and knows how to use it (which immediately makes him better than any dealer)
