TD using water,
« on: 18 May 2011, 17:57:40 »

About 1l every 500mls or so.  It's not dripping on the ground. Could it be a weeping rad/hose & it's just evaporating?  Head gasket? Engine runs fine 155k mls.

As said, hbv failure is quite common on Vauxhalls, check for leaks or drips on the ground while the engine is running.
Also look for the tell tale signs of crystal formation to pinpoint any weepy hoses etc.A garage can do a quick 'sniff test' to check for head gasket failure...

I'll look at HBV if I can find it. Is there a DIY "sniff test" as I'm allergic to garages.
