changing flywheel...
« on: 14 June 2011, 17:07:48 »

I'm having the clutch changed (again) in my F/L 3.0 MV6, and at the same time I am wanting to change the flywheel for a lighter one, any recomendations as to what I can fit in it without having to buy a new clutch..??

I've heard somebody used the Vectra Sri solid flywheel, with Vectra i500 clutch, but in this case you have to replace the clutch too. You will find info in the gallery section, it was a guy from Poland with a B1 Omega.

You will need to change the clutch for one with a sprung hub if you`re going down that route, I think Regal do a lightened flywheel for the Omega but you`d need to find out which clutch to use. A friction disc from the 2l LET would fit and handle the power and torque but they are a little bit smaller in diameter.
