Anyone fitted a Jetex system? It's twin pipe so shouldn't be as loud as some stainless systems :-/ :-/

Tempting... And the 30mm lowering kit (to bring it to MV6 height) :-/ :-/

And the wishbone polyflex bushes are reasonably priced too ::) ::)

Ahhh... Really thinking about spending money now ::) ::)

YZ250 has LD. About £500 from what he told me. I'm sure he'll be along soon.  :y

Me ...... about 6 years ago.  A little noisier than OE, but not excessively so. Twin pipes are bit OT too, but I've lived with it.  :y

Not a lot... Why? Need a hand?

The 3 stainless systems I have encountered on omegas have been loud and restrictive in that the car felt a little flat to drive. All 3 had the twin pipe sections post cat replaced with a single pipe to the rear silencer. Then twin pipe exit. Not a good idea it seems to me....

Yep... But the Jetex is twin pipe all the way which is the only reason I started considering it :-/

Will be using pattern mid sections and an Irmscher rear box personally. The oe falling apart will probably be the kick up the arse I need to fit all that bloody stuff.

Not wishing to hijack the thread, I need a new exhaust soon and am considering the SS route but is the saloon 2.5, 2.6, 3.0 and 3.2 all the same as most listed are quote the 2.5 - 3.0 not the 2.6.

AFAIK the centre sections are all the same on V6 saloons (estates are different)

2.5/2.6 has single tailpipe on the back box. 3.0/3.2 has twin pipes. You can fit whichever you prefer (they just look and sound a little different)

Generally 2.5/3.0 were fitted to pre-facelift and 2.6/3.2 to facelift but some of the first facelift cars had 3.0

Facelift cars have bigger plastic bumpers and the pre-facelift tail pipes are not long enough to project the exhaust out from beneath the car. Simple answer is to buy 'exhaust trims' and fit them to make the tail pipes a little longer  :y

The late Bill Blydenstein recommended Jetex exhausts to his customers due to their design so you`ve no worries about it being restrictive.

Restriction isn't a concern. On a modern N/A engine the cats/manifolds are always the most restrictive part of the system ;)

Sound is the most important thing to me... I don't want an annoying drone  ;) Currently it has an aftermarket system from Kant Fit so it has to be quieter than that!

eternalcar is highly rec. - mine is 3 yrs old and still like new.also has the nice clamshell centre boxes.

I have a powerflow on mine, and yes the drone is a little much at first (although living in Essex, it fits right in ::) )
Surprisingly it only took about 3 days to stop noticing it, as was already on the car when i got it.

The thought that it would probably outlast the car makes it all worthwhile  ;)
