Arm rest button
« on: 06 October 2011, 16:33:23 »

My arm rest has two 'buttons'. One for opening the armrest up (so you can store items inside).
There is also a lower, larger button. What is this for?

Initially I thought it was to raise the entire armrest up, but I can do that without pushing the button.
It is the same scenario on 2 other Omegas I have driven.
(Maybe they are all broken?)

Ah yes that "new found beacon of gadgetry" as it was called when I asked the same question a couple of years ago. It simply drops the arm rest a couple of mill. I guess if the rest of the teeth where cut into the runners then it might be fully adjustable? As it is though, it's only adjustable a tiny amount. Odd one though.  :-\

I have been wondering the same; why on earth would they do something like that? Only adjusts a few millimeters making none what so ever difference. And, does not even "catch" to lower position, so if you would use the lower position you will have to re-adjust it every time you open the cover  :o Migh be nice to have the engineers explanation to this  :D

Yes - I had assumed mine was broken because the only available adjustment is totally pointless.  Saves me the trouble of trying to fix it if it is pointless by design  :(
