Air bag light
« on: 26 September 2011, 13:18:12 »

Ok, so I haven't needed to ask for help on here in a long time, BUT.....

Air bag light has come on. Plugged in "My Naff Code Reader" and tried resetting it but same fault keeps reappearing. Drivers side airbag squib high voltage. I am presuming a new squib should sort the problem out, or is it likely to be just a loose connection?

that will be the connector to the airbag in the back of the drivers seat.

I would first take it apart, and clean up the connections and hope for the best.

should advise to disconnect the battery 1st (but I did this live hundreds of times on my old car without issue, But I cannot recommend it)

Hi,

I had an interesting one with an AB light on my last Omega. I couldn't reset the AB light with my cheapy reader - it took a visit to a Tech2 where is reset on the 1st attempt.

These things do happen.

Regards - Rob
