No, it requires an external sppy to switch the unit.

The additional chip is a sync seperator which is being used to extract the requried synd for the sharp LCD display.....ow yes, its obsolete to!

Sorry Mark,

If this answer is aimed at me; I don't understand it?

I'm not up on electronics, sorry :-[

Is it possible to have a DVD which outputs to screens in the head rests and to a manual switch, which when opened allows that same output to show on the CID and override the SATNAT output?

I only reckon I'll understand a "yes" or "no" in answer to this question. If it is a yes then I'd be interested in pursuing it as a potential option, if no, then I'll go back to sleep.

I'd still need to find a suitable way to have a DVD player somewhere in the car without losing my standard fitted Bose head unit. I want to keep that because I like the standard look, the SATNAV and the computer functions on the dash.

The more I think about it, the more I realise I may be barking up an empty tree here.  :(

I've sent an email to the chap as it appears he will supply the board fully built.

Some interesting information on his site if you go back to the home page and browse.

Assuming you the German for "home"  :-/

I don't understand a blinkin' thing. 1st off it's electronics and to make matters worse it may not even be in English. (I'm assuming it is German, but it might just be electronic speak which is going right over my head.)
