CCRT Changer - Anyone know the correct code number
« on: 31 July 2008, 13:54:28 »

Morning all!

I've just put up my Blaupunkt CDC Changer on ebay as the unit doesn't seem to respond to the CCRT system other than saying 'No CDC' and then ejecting.

I remember reading that the CDC2 comes in two flavours, for the CCR600 etc series and another physically identical but CCRT700 only model. Does anyone know the product code that should be printed on the back of the unit please? 8-)

I've a feeling the previous owner may have changed the cd unit without realising the different units existed!

Cheers

Mine currently reads 90 493 268
                               CDC 2

The Vx part number starting with a 9 that you are both referring to does not always indicate the language protocol.

On the label on the side is a ten digit part number

7 ??? ??? ???

Thats a more important one to refer to.

yes, thats the one !

That 10 digit number is always the correct way to identify any Blaupunkt products.

Aah, so mine being 7 607 776 320 probably means it's for the CCR series instead then

Cheers! - I'll get back on ebay looking, anyone know if you can still buy new? Apart from VX of course, as I don't want to mortgage the house again

Or does anyone have a working unit for a CCRT700 they no longer need that they wish to sell?

for ccrt700 cd changers, it has to be a 99 model - last letter of VIN is X

Cheers!

Got one off fleabay, right model etc and it talks to the headunit.

But, damn thing says 0 CD SAFE. Presumably meaning the 10 attempts have been used up for code entry.

Expensive paperweight methinks.

Davednd - is it worth decoding it to remove the code altogether?

I can either reset or turn off the code - but cannot alter the protocol, so make 100% certain that it is the correct model for the head unit. Triple check with everybody first !

The VX stance is to look for the F code.

I.e. the CCRT uses an FC or FD (which is compatible with the FC) and the CCR600 uses an FB

Can you elaborate on that statement please, as even though I deal with these units all day long, I have no idea what you are on about, and feel others may struggle also ?
