Double Din cd player and phone system
« on: 06 February 2009, 11:41:50 »

Apart from the CCRT 2008, is there any other double din unit suitable for the Omega which has a CD player and can take a sim card?

Thanks.

NCDC2015, but needs wiring mods from your ccrt2008, and the phone unit is seperate and sits in the glovebox.

Whats wrong with phone in your ccrt then?

The phone is fine, but it's the CD player thats knackered. Plus it doesn't light up. I know the removable panel lights up as it lit up on another unit.

The other CCRT 2008 unit that I have needs the Code index progamme as you've previously identified. But explaining that to the Opel dealer here is altogether another issue.

So another option is to try another unit as CCRT 2008's seem impossible to get hold off.

Yes, I do. I thought that as well. The only reservation I have is that the one with the working CD has the configuration missing. I've assumed that if I swapped this CD unit over it wouldn't work. Maybe worth a try?

The CD changer from your old one will work with new radio - they are not coded :)
