Headlight Adjusters!
« on: 19 February 2009, 20:31:41 »

Just bought some more headlights off EvilBay and yes, the adjusters are buggered :( My question (s) is, can you buy adjusters seperate and is it a case of getting the lens off the front of the headlamp and winding the adjusters right off the threads to replace? Maybe I can glue them together or rebuild them...!

I did last year, and as far as I know (I haven't looked for ages  ::)) they've stayed glued. I used 'Double Bubble' an epoxy, Araldite type glue, and filled the area around the thread, lub'ing it first so it didn't stick to it.

Paul,

I might take you up on that offer! I'll try and get them apart at the weekend and see what's occurring.

Paul,

I've finally got the headlights apart, yes I know that was yonks ago but I've been busy!!! Found enough bits to put one adjuster back together but I'm not convinced it'll be successful :( The other seems half missing I reckon.

Do you still have a couple of adjusters spare? Let me know via PM or e-mail if you like and we'll go from there :y
