CDC safe readout
« on: 01 April 2009, 23:26:53 »

I may as well get all my niggling little things looked at as i'm here...
Can anyone tell me why my stereo shows 'CDC safe' and won't play cd's but the radio still works fine?? I've tried re'inputting the code etc, but to no avail. Any help greatly appreciated as I don't want to have to pay through the nose for a VX tech to tell me I need a new stereo.

Because, unlike your Senator, the Omega requires 2 codes, 1 for the head unit & another for the CD changer.  Press CD before you turn the head unit on (ign on) and it'll ask for the CD changer code .... it should be on the Car Pass that should come with the car.  :y

Just checked out my car pass and there is no cd changer code on it. All there is, is a forward slash through the bit where the code would be. I'll try the radio code using the way you said and let you know how I get on. Cheers

They're different codes. Dave DND might be able to help though.  :y
