Time/date autom. update n/a??
« on: 03 April 2009, 09:55:34 »

After replacing GID with CID and programming right code index, the Time/date automatic correction cannot be selected and is faded grey and no X mark in selction box. What is wrong :(?

It was working fine with GID and....I don't really remember, but I think it was working before rep. code index.

Car: 02 Omega 2.5DTi with Siemens NCDC 2015 and CID.

When you do a code variant update it also downloads the firmware from T2...so if T2 has old code then it could donwgrade your firmware (in theory as I have not tried it)

And it would cause this prob?

I remember tech2 writting smt. like "code varian in tech2 is 2 and same as in cid" before rep. code index.

Yes, it can downgrade firmware done in Diagnostics section.  It can't downgrade firmwares that are done via SPS

On the NCDx series, the clock is updated via GPS signal, hence a good GPS signal required.
