Imobiliser bypass
« on: 25 May 2009, 01:03:54 »

Hi all!
After having a mooch around various forums Ive noticed that the Immobiliser can be a bit of a bug bear, worrying, as I only have 1 key.
Thinking ahead, any body know if, if you fit an immobiliser bypass (type where a transponder key is hidden in a little box of tricks and an aerial loop goes around the ignition barrel, effectively hard wiring the transponder chip to the car) if these only work with remote starting kits or if it would allow the use of a normal, no transponder, key.
Its the old IR system, and I only have 1 key, so Id like to address the problem before it becomes one.

I offer my quiery to the group!

Cheers, and many thanks in advance!
