Change from cdr 500 to ccr 6000, seamless??
« on: 25 May 2009, 00:03:38 »

My cdr 500 has been having problem and i was lucky to locate a brand new ccr 2006 with code. I am assuming that all i need to do is remove the 500 and replace it with the 6000! is this correct?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Please be carefull with the model numbers in order to get a reply.

Vauxhall didn`t use a 6000.

The CDR500 is a standard DIN unit, whereas the CCR2006 is a double DIN unit, so there is an obvious problem there - its twice the physical size.

Clarify what radio you intend to put in, as title says ccr6000 (doesn't exist), and text says ccr2006 (double din unit, so twice the size of a cdr500)

If radio is double din then, my best guess would be a CDR2005 coming out and a CCR2006 going back in, and if these numbers are correct, then yes, its plug and play.
