A couple of q's form a newbie
« on: 29 May 2009, 22:08:10 »

Just a couple of questions.
The front central locking on my omega seems lazy and intermittent although the rear seems fine. Is this likely to be lazy door motors? Or is this a common fault.

Lastly my rear fog switch doesn't latch, they work if I hold down the switch though. Does the whole lighting module get replaced or can you replace individual switches.? Front ones are OK.

On mine it is due to a dying c/l motor.  You may have two dying, one in each door. :'( :'(

That's not so bad, a fairly easy fix. Better than having to trace dodgy wiring.

The lazy lock solenoid is quite common, there's a guide in the maintenance section on how to replace it.

I know you can remove the fog light switches (they come out as a pair) from the main lighting switch on the facelifts, I think the prefacelifts are also the same.

But even they are not all the same, my lights on buzzer is in the passenger foot well, most others are in the light switch itself.  :y

Yeh wasn't 100% on the prefacelifts, I know all the facelift ones i've dabbled with seperate quite easily.
