Traffic Master
« on: 02 September 2009, 16:36:38 »

Hi guys im kind of new ti this site but have already had some very good advice, i have a few electrical questions but will start with the most annoying.

I have a 2001 CD with traffic master fitted running through a CDR2005. The licence has expired and i have no intention of using it. The problem i'm having is that every now and again i start up the car and the traffic master keeps telling me its expired and running through various different numbers and it just won't shut up.

Is it an easy job to disconnect it and if so how do i go about it?

Thanks in advance for any help given. :)

Remove head unit, and have a look at the main loom that plugs in the back. Follow the wires back for around a foot or so, and you shoule see a large plug and socket, the same as the ones in the rear of the head unit.

Remove this section of loom and plug head unit back in.

Suggest to then advertise the loom and TM unit as a lot of people still want to upgrade to have the system

If you just want to disable it unplug the black TM box fitted below the steering wheel.
This wouldn't work on the pre facelift as the phone mute is routed through the TM unit.
