if i can get a set of  xenon headlights from an elite are they a straight swap into my dti
Actual units are a straight swap from a facelift but getting them to work correctly requires quite a bit more work. i.e. splicing original wiring, headlamp washers, control over the light levelling system :( :(

I'm still at a loss, if I have the original bulbs - and I have had the car from almost new and have not replaced any - do I have HIDS :-?
('99 PFL TD CDX)

Do your lights take a couple of seconds to 'warm up'? And as asked before, is there an adjuster on your light switch for level with 0 1 2 3 settings

You should be answering YES & NO if you have HID lights

No & Yes. Ergo: No HIDS

Thanks to All for the help. :y :y :y

Hi - My '94 CD needs better lights. Does the 'Osram Nightbreakers solution'  go for this, as a neighbour with a '95 CDX has changed his complete units for ones that seem to have normal bulbs in one section, and what look like spotlights in the other half. Any ideas ?  I appreciate any comments. Thankyou

Your neighbour has "projector" lights fitted. Best possible upgrade apart from HID`s (you don`t want to go there).

Yup, projects + nightbreakers. Put them in mine, considerable output improvment, gives close to HID output in good conditions.
