Can anyone tell me what the following means on the info display screen?;

Headlight Field/Vision


Cant find any info for this message in handbook so any help appreciated.

Your self levelling headlights have detected a fault. You may have noticed them pointing down to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers.

There are sensors on the nearside suspension arms (front and rear). The arms sometimes pop off or break.

There are motors in the headlights, they can fail either through the arms falling off or breaking or through water getting into the motors.

If the sensor arms have broke where can i get a replacement?

And worse case scenario if the motors have broke how will I detect which motor it is and where can a replacement be sought and is both jobs a diy job?

Is this a consistent fault. Mine is intermittent and no codes - has been checked and no apparent faults with mechnical bits.

It can come on 3 times a day and then not again for weeks.

Vauxhall dealer for new or OOF members breaking cars for used.

I haven't had the problem myself (yet  ) but there are threads on the board about the problem and solutions.

I think some people have repaired broken arms but I don't know how long the repairs lasted.

First thing to do is check if the arms are still attached.

Someone with more experience will drop in later to tell us if plugging your car into Tech2 can identify the fault directly. If you are near one of the members with Tech2 it could save you some time.

Yes, assuming you have some tools and the right temperament.

Mine is intermittent and no codes - has been checked and no apparent faults with mechnical bits.

Intermittent faults are the most frustrating to fix, probably caused by water, corrosion, dry solder joint or failing electric motor.

since i got mine ive had that warning so on saturday i thought il have a look at it and the arm had popped off,pop back on and sorted
