Radio/Cassette player removal
« on: 12 March 2010, 09:32:09 »

Would like to know how i can remove my old standard Radio/Cassette player from my dashboard, there seems to be two holes either side of the unit - does it need a special removal tool or can i make one up myself?

many thanks in anticipation  :)

Yup, standard single din removal tools.

Possible with 4 suitably sized nails, but if you're unsure how the clips work, I'd recommend the keys...

Mine needed the allen key to remove grub screw.  tool pictured was £3 on line from halfords when i bought a pair 2 months back. They do make it much easier than nails.

Yup, worth every penny. Nails are OK in emergency for single DIN (Double din is normally too tight).

RESULT!  ;D

I went to my local friendly Halfords store and they only charged £1.99 to remove the old cassette player using their removal tools... I slotted the  CD player/radio  straight in, working beautifully!  :D
