No sound
« on: 08 April 2010, 07:45:29 »

My Elite estate has no sound coming from any speaker.
The car has been off the road for a year now with battery disconnected. Yesterday I reconnected the battery and entered the security code correctly and the display shows radio stations but no music is coming from the speakers.  Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve the problem please.

Do you have BOSE at all? If so, may be worth checking your amp`s fuses.

If not, then disconnect each speaker in turn, as a short circuit or "jammed" speaker could cause a protection fault on the head unit also.

Yes it is a Bose system. Where is the fuse for the amp?

There is a Bose system fuse in the fuse box under the steering column. Cant remember the number (maybe 15 or 16), but it has a speaker symbol on it. Worth a try  :y
