Range problem mid
« on: 23 May 2010, 12:53:15 »

my mid stopped working so i bought a new one from Opel. Everything is working fine except the range. When i installed it i had 75 liters (full tank) and the mid said 220 km range. No its got ca 60 liters and the mid says 0 range. Car is a 95 Omega 3 litre auto. Code in new mid says 018 04. its the mid with one yellow and one black connector at the back. have travelled ca 150 km with the new mid and reset it several times. any idea?

have same problem board issue in mid cannot find the fault, seams to be a 8pin chip in back of mid, same code as old one but there is no resistance in it. may be a bad batch.

thanks for the info. sounds likely. the black connector on the new mid was soldered in upside down as well! had to take apart the cars connector and stick it in upside down to make it work at all. Siemens crap:P

This is a simple programming task - the dealer should have told you it needed configuring (via Tech2) for the car...
