X21 Connector
« on: 27 May 2010, 22:37:13 »

Is this its proper name?

And more to the point - can I buy the plug-in part itself (shown is the car loom fitted part).  (Without a new set of 12x sockets and cables).

I'm not sure. Worth asking a dealer, perhaps? Most people seen to attach to the wires with solder & heat shrink joints and ditch the connector.

If you do a search you'll find the colours posted in this section somewhere. Might save you a job. :y

I'd take you up on that and even run up a BBQ and put some more beers in the fridge but not for a few wires.
Location as listed, Newark on Trent.

Really I just wanted to use the plug if I could get one on its own - is it a x21?

I'm getting there, but have been distracted today as I had to sort out the 'pain' (sp) of a bodge job where the cables had been routed into the boot.  And I still want to undo the N socket to refix but have a somewhat stuborn screw left that didn't shift today.  Did I mention I have a 'pain' of a car - and some unbodging still left to do.

Still, it'll be worth it - x21 plug or not it will be the best fitted yet.
