forgive me for being dumb :D
basically if i connect the positive wire to the coloured feed wire and the negative wire to wherever this shared return is i should have sexy lighting 8-)

Errr no you won't!

On an old barge like the Omega these LED chav-me bulbs stand out a mile and just scream the fact your questioning your sexuality.

The Catera lighting looks good   ;) ;)

But they are not 'strips' retro fitted to clusters

just google searched the catera and i agree they look good, missing the point if you think im trying to look chav, i like vehicles which look mostly standard but have very subtle details i also don't like clusters where the brake/tail are the same bulb i would prefer some better distinction between them, anyway expecting different views thats ok just need someone who knows there cars to assist many thanks :y

I agree. Given the amount of space car  manufactures have at the back of a car I think that seperate lamps do help when you are the car behind.

followed your advice andy and lights working fine, thanks for the help :y
the appearance is very subtle tbh it basically gives a much more distinction between brake and tail light making me feel safer. they are inside the cluster with bulb so off course only noticable when brakes are applied and not to "chavme" the rest of the car is standard barge which i love so hopefully can avoid the corsa stereotype ::)
