I had the same problem with Y189 HKE. The drivers door loom was replaced, along with 4 way switch, rear looms replaced, rear switches fitted, motors etc and they still didn't work. When you look at the 4 way switch, do the little green and red lights, light up?
I got fed up of the car in the end, Simon bought it. I think he mentioned to me he got the windows working, not 100% sure. It may be worth asking him what he did to get them going.

i've checked the little red and green lights on the drivers door and they are on. I did not change the drivers door loom as connection the same on two window system as it is on the 4 window system but I do have another loom here I will try it when I change the drivers door card. All the other electric system on the o/s rear door work ctr locking, puddle light it's just the window which does not work.

On my 01 'Y' plate the loom was different, but as yours is an '03' it's possible that they only used the 4 window loom. Sorry Joff, not sure what else you can check really, as I did the same. Checked all fuses, and central locking, puddle lights worked on mine aswell, so power is definitely getting there; the window just wouldn't work.

Just put new door card on drivers door and checked the connection to the 4 way window switch. The one fitted to the car has 17 wires going to the switch, the new loom I have has 23 wires going to the switch. So how the hell do you unplug the loom for the frount door inner edge without taking the door off. I've looked at the new loom I have and it looks like it's a twist and pull job but for the live of me I can't get the thing apart.

Had exactly the same issue. The loom has some lugs you twist, I couldn't get the bloody thing apart, in the end I gave up and took it somewhere to be done. It is possible, but not something I could manage to do. I suspect, that's going to be your culprit, the drivers door loom. Hopefully, when you fit the one with all the correct pins it may work. But, even after I had the loom fitted it still didn't work on mine.

Now you say that I think I can remember Simon saying something about another loom in the b post I will have to see when I have fitted the loom to the drivers door. :-?

first things first. the connector in the drivers door can be undone, but takes alot of cursing/patience and bruising. >:( it helps if you un bolt the check strap first. the loom from the a post unscrews from the door loom. once this is out of the way there are 3 tabs that hold the plug to the door. it takes some carefull tweaking with a thin flat head screwdriver, but you can release those tabs, then with a hand inside the door you should be able to wiggle the plug off the door.  :) is straight forward, just very fiddly.
secondly regarding fuses etc, have a read of the thread started by russell about the same issue. thereis a 30amp maxi fuse that needs to be placed in socket 35, (top right hand corner) of panel under dash. that should solve the power issues. :) had same prob with mine last year. swapped the wiring from a 2000 cd estate. apologies to the owner of a champagne estate with plod trim  :D
