Interior light fault and CD not ejecting
« on: 30 April 2011, 13:50:40 »

HI all,

I've just bought a 2003 2.6CD and I'm sorting out the few little things that need doing.

The interior light (front centre) wasn't working, which turned out to be a loose connection.

Now the 2 lights come on when the door is opened, but when I try and use the reading lights they don't stay on.

If i press and hold the drivers side button, both lights come on, but go out when button is released.
Press again and the same happens with the passenger side only.

Also the eject button on the CD player doesn't eject the CD. It's the 2005 model.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Phil

The map reading lights are only supposed to work with the ignition on...

Eject fault on the CDR2005 is usually because the fascia has been pulled off at some stage and not refitted correctly

Top lid and CD mech must be removed for correct alignment of fascia, else the connecting pins compact and can become easily damaged

Thanks for the replies.

I'll get the fascia checked on the CD and I'll double check the lights with the ignition on.

Thanks again !
