bonnet struts depressurised
« on: 02 October 2011, 12:38:31 »

Hello,
I have left the bonnet slightly up for some weeks while I decide on the fate of my part dismantled car, and now find it wont stay up in the fully opened position. Is there anything that can be done about that?

Sounds like the struts have lost pressure. No way of fixing them that Ive heard of, but someone else might know better. :-\

As Albs says new-to-you struts required.

Facelifts bonnets are apparently a little heavier than pre facelift bonnets & so have different struts.

My old prefacelift had this problem.Every time I had my head under the bonnet and there was a bit of a strong breeze the bloody bonnet would come down on my head. Most annoying. ::) ;D
