Help on part number please - Airbox screws
« on: 08 October 2011, 11:30:47 »

Anyone able to advise on part number for the Airbox screws on a facelift please?

Been to the stealers and wasn't impressed that their EPC said that the airbox lid was held on by retaining clips.  Chap wouldn't have it that it's affixed by self-tap type screws  >:(.  And told me it must be another airbox that someone has modifed to fit the car  >:( .

I've seen and worked on three different Omega's and everytime the airbox lid has been held on by screws.

I think it tends to be later cars that use screws. My 99 prefacelift uses clips the same as my 2000 Astra does.  ;)

My 2000 uses self tappers with Torx heads, not sure of the part number, I would just try different screws until you get the right size.

I am led to believe that the old clippy airbox (90448352) is no longer available and the new screwy one (90572830) is now the replacement for all Omega models.  But the clips from the old one are still listed separately whereas the screws aren't.   ???

Do you have any of the screws to measure up?  If not I'll pop out and measure one of mine for you.
