First decent run since new shocks and wishbones and MOT
« on: 12 October 2011, 02:09:06 »

....

down to Hampshire and back (round the corner from Kev Wood as it happens) to drop my daughter off at work (she's a live in nanny , working for an obscenely rich family.....   )

came back "the back way" (Farnham-basingstoke - newbury-A34)  to give it a bit of a run on A roads with corners.... and lots of fast roundabouts    instead of boring motorways, and check it out on some of the iffy surfaces and bouncy bits on the A34 at speed....

very much improved....    still a little wandery here and there on some surfaces....  but a trip to WIM will be on the cards shortly...  see what they can do with her....    ride is hugely improved,  although still not quite up to my old elite when it had new suspension fitted...  but a huge improvement on the rocket propelled bouncy castle ride it was before.

reasonably happy.....

If the tyres are past their best it might be worth allowing suspension to settle before wim... Maybe a month if possible?

But if the tyres are new or with decent tread left, wim ASAP and ask them if they could re check it in a couple of months time due to suspension settling, which alter settings as the ride hight drops and settles in ime.

Certainly set up and replacing worn tyres can see further improvements.  :y
