When I was a member, they set up my account straight away.  I know they dont for everyone though for some reason.

Can't understand why it is so hard to get into their forums when I just sign in and go straight into them and did so ever since the first day I joined.

Looking at the link, that's a completely differant site/software. Iirc the site I tried was the old yellow and black profile....? obviously they have upgraded, and no doubt log in and registering would be easier compared to they're old site.... I would think...?

They did update the forum software about a year ago, and radically changed the theme in the process.

IIRC, registering is just a matter of signing up with the username "<membership number> <first name> <last name>". If the details match their membership database they'll approve it.

Yeah, having just registered the details required are differant. No mention of tc membership number, which I seem to remember was required before, or something like.

and did any of you email/contact the ABS powers that be to sort it for you? As said, I've been a member for yonks, was a member of the email based 'forum' way before today's forums were thought of & have had no problem with the current ABS forum. 

Yup, must have been half a dozen or so times I requested access (the thing where you had to send off membership no and name etc). Never heard a peep back.

My ABS membership has long since expired - kinda expensive for 6 mostly irrelevant pamphlets...

Absolutely   (cheaper options avaiilable, maybe, but ABS are quite fast normally, and offer more Omega related info than the cheaper options)
