i have a bit of a soft spot for small french cars....     having had a love affair with a 205Gti,  then an AxGT and AxGTi.

the Ax was a belter.... revved to about 8k,  drove the needle WAY past the end of the speedo,  cornered on rails, and used bugger all fuel....

nearest thing to a 4 wheeled motorbike i've ever driven.....    brilliant....   till my sister borrowed it and totalled .....

it backwards and end over end in to a field up by Hook Norton,....    (runoff the road by a drunk driver to be fair.... ) , forced up on the grass verge, clipped a hidden rock,  and spun out backwards into a field with about a 6-8 foot drop in to it from the raised section of road....    car rolled backwards end over end a couple of times,  not one panel was left intact/straight,  all the glass gone, 2 alloys cracked....

sister had nothing more than cuts and bruises,  and most of them were because she took her belt off without bracing herself, as she was upside down....

no she is not borrowing my miggy.... not ever.....

I must say that I was quite impressed with the economy on the Partner van I bought. Bearing in mind it's a van so not geared the same as the cars I managed just shy of 55mpg running up to get it fitted out in Rush hour :y I'm always sceptical when mpg figures are quoted but it only used just over 1/4 of a tank for 200 miles :y

200 miles on £35 of fuel works out at around 36.5 mpg taking fuel @ £1.35 a litre, thats not bad is it ?
Bloody awful for a modern 1.6 petrol :o
Esp for a small shitbox....

About the same cost per mile as my MV6 on LPG. Now, let me see.... ::)

Thats what I was thinking, a little more £45 worth of gas gets me 370-400 miles  :)

You're still paying sub £50 for 75L of LPG :o :o If only it were true up here :'( :'(

Only on a run though ;) And if you change to "Project Chav" you'll find that mileage reduces a bit ;)

Actually... You might not as you drive like Miss Daisy :P :P ;D ;D

Yup, still 69p litre here, although tend to only put 70-72L in, fill ups cost £45-49 ish.

Project Chav could be rather more expensive to fuel.

But as I could actually win some 0-60 dashes and give other cars run for their money, I might actually drive bit quicker  :D

The DS3 racing is what I like quite a lot! Orange wheels too, and 203 BHP  :o
