Not worth risking.  Dont want it doing it halfway across a junction, with the words SCAMMEL bearing down fast.

When i had a V6 project few years ago, the crank sensor would always fail/cut out at the worst possible time.

Not worth risking....

I wish I could of done it myself but I'm useless!!! Don't have the tools either!!! After watching him do it on a ramp too I wouldn't of liked to do it on my own with a jack on my drive. I ain't a jockey!

If he made hard work of it, its done wrong ;)

But on the upside, when it fails again, you'll know to do properly ;D

Its ok, I am slightly irritable regarding the mig at the moment, I will have spent nearly £1000 on it this week by tomorrow after Pete has done his magic with the brakes & service. Most no fault of the car apart from the crank sensor but its £1000 I really could of done without spending.

The wiring for the sensor is routed the same as it was originally and away from the exhaust etc. so I am hoping you are wrong and it is done right.  ;)

As said, I hope so. If they have followed the original route, I sincerely hope its clipped in the clips properly (all of them). It follows the route of hot oil pipes.  Its difficult to do all the clips (esp as they seem to become quite brittle with age/heat).

The OOF way is entirely different, and seems to work very well. As an added bonus, its makes it a 5 minute job (including tea and biscuits) :y

Well all I can do is ask Pete if he doesn't mind double checking for me then hopefully I can get some peace of mind!
