Ignition barrel removal, without key
« on: 14 November 2011, 08:48:17 »

Hi.

My 1996 Omega ignition barrel broke down last friday and after hours of fiddeling my frustration topped out and i picked up a screwdriver... ::)
Long story short..

New barrel is ordered to fit my keys but i have to get the old barrel out.
Found this post http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90590.0 but the obvious error here is that i dont have the possibility to use my key.

Any tips, drawings or other solutions on how to get out the broken barrel?

if no key will fit only thing can think of is drill it out but have to be carefull you dont drill the out ring were lock fits or you need new steering lock assembly.
